Designing GlobiFYE

Overview

GlobiFYE is a client of Bizinc that aims to connect companies and individuals to outsource employment from places outside of the U.S. It also enables job seekers to find work in the U.S.

As a UX/UI Designer Intern, I designed the customer-facing screens from low fidelity to high fidelity in collaboration with my teammate.

Introduction
THE USER

My team did not handle the UX Research of this project, so we were handed this information. We needed to design for three types of users:

  • Job-seeking individuals: Individuals looking for remote software development jobs, primarily those with technical skills in programming languages, frameworks, and other areas of software development

  • Companies & Individuals seeking to hire: Businesses or individuals in need of pre-vetted, highly skilled remote developers for long-term or project-based roles

  • Companies seeking train resources: Companies seeking support in training their employees in various skills within the AI field

THE PRODUCT

GlobiFYE is a platform that...

  • Supports U.S. startups and small businesses in hiring and managing global talent with ease.

  • Helps startups save on costs by accessing skilled professionals from around the world without added logistical burdens.

  • Connects job seekers with relevant remote job opportunities

  • Assesses job seekers based on skills, experience, and technical evaluations to provide companies with qualified candidates.

  • Offers training resources to ensure employee readiness and skill enhancement.

HOW MIGHT WE...
Business Goal
Design Globifye's customer-facing website to incorporate Turing.com’s core functionality while using a UI kit that reflects Globifye's unique brand aesthetic?
Optimize website to improve conversion and engagement?

SITE MAP

To fully understand the project scope and identify all necessary screens, we created a detailed site map modeled after Turing.com's platform.

This helped us distribute tasks efficiently and align our design with business objectives from the outset. By mapping out key elements, such as CTAs on each page and informative content placements, we ensured that critical goals were addressed early in the design process.

DESIGN SYSTEM

For typography, we chose Inter for bold headlines and Poppins for body text to create a clean, modern interface with a sans-serif font that reinforces that GlobiFYE is an innovative leader, ahead of trends.

To align with the client's vision, we incorporated purple as the primary color, symbolizing wisdom and wealth, which resonate with Globify's mission. For the secondary color, we added blue to convey a sense of trust and clarity, enhancing the brand's credibility and openness.

HOMEPAGE

To Quickly communicate Globifye’s core offering, the headline and call-to-action are displayed above the fold, using large, bold fonts to capture attention immediately

To explain Globifyes value concisely without overwhelming users, information is presented in digestible sections, with short text blocks, icons, and visuals that convey key points quickly

To establish credibility and build user trust, displayed logos of well-known partner companies, case studies, and statistics. When users hover on them the stats enlarge

To drive users toward conversion with minimal friction-- CTA buttons like 'Get Started' are eye-catching, standing out in a vibrant color against the dark background. On hover, it shimmers subtly—achieved by adjusting the gradient on the default state—adding a visually engaging element that guides users.

To show the opportunities that are available to members, there is a section that shows the available jobs. There is a hover state in which they illuminate in a gradient to keep users engaged and direct them to the relevant information

Clicking Apply Now directs users to the Get Started page, prompting them to create an account. An improvement would be to lead users directly to the step following For Employees within Get Started, eliminating an extra step.

By offering whitepapers, GlobiFYE builds trust, showcases its expertise, and demonstrates thought leadership

WHAT WE DO

Card flip effect engages users while offering a way to highlight GlobiFYE's LLM training capabilities

Masonry layout to ensure differently sized elements fit together seamlessly, while effectively presenting information

RESOURCES

Team section to humanize brand, attract talent, and reflect GlobiFYE's culture

Areas for Improvement
SPACING INCONSISTENCIES

There are noticeable inconsistencies in spacing between sections because we did not establish spacing guidelines early in the design process, and did not communicate with eachother about this detail. Creating and following a set of spacing standards from the start would have ensured a more polished interface.

MISSING BACK BUTTONS

Many screens are missing back buttons, such as when navigating to separate pages after clicking “Read More” buttons. This oversight will disrupt users’ flow, as they cannot easily return to the previous screen. Adding back buttons will allow users to more easily recover from error and streamline navigation.

BREADCRUMBS

Incorporating breadcrumbs will allow users to easily trace their steps, especially when moving through layered content like whitepapers and blog posts. This will help users feel more in control and reduce the chances of getting lost in the website.

CLEAR DISTINCTION BETWEEN LABELS, TAGS, & BUTTONS

We need to conduct user testing to ensure that users will be able to distinguish between labels, filter tags, and clickable buttons. This testing will focus on validating that the visual cues like color, shape, and placement to clearly communicate each element's function.
